Brief Biography
Rob Okun: Editor and publisher of VOICE MALE magazine, an online and print publication chronicling the profeminist men's movement. I've been editing the magazine for more than two decades, initially while serving as associate director and later executive director of the Massachusetts-based Men’s Resource Center for Change. Since the Fall 2008 I've been publishing it independently. Commentaries and op-eds I've written on issues related to men and gender justice have appeared in a variety of print publications and websites including Ms., the Dallas Morning News Women’s Enews, The London Telegraph, and I am syndicated by PeaceVoice. I have broadcast public radio commentaries on men and violence, fathering, and women's rights and have spoken at a number of universities and colleges. In addition to serving on the NAMEN steering committee, I'm also on the steering committee of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities.
