Brief Biography
I taught elementary school (mostly 6th grade) for 41 years and retired in June, 2016. I am the father of four children - ages 27-47 - and the grandfather of four children - ages 1-11. I have written 4 books including one entitled CALLED TO SERVE: Stories of Men and Women Confronted by the Vietnam War Draft, another entitled
FINDING SUPPORT IN ONE ANOTHER: How Men’s and Women’s Support Groups Can Provide for Our Well-Being and most recently a co-authored book withe Dr. Amilcar Shabazz entitled, IN DEFIANCE: 20 Abolitionists You Were Never Taught in School.
