Brief Biography
Kate is the Director of Programs at White Ribbon Canada. Kate has worked across research, non-profit, consulting and private sectors. Early in her career, Kate worked in Pondicherry, India and supported grassroots advocacy to prevent gender-based violence. Kate obtained a Masters of Arts in Adult Education and Community Development, at OISE, University of Toronto. Kate's thesis was published in Gender and Development, entitled "Feminist solidarity: no boys allowed? Views of pro-feminist men on collaboration and alliance-building with women's movements." Kate has presented at numerous local, national and global conferences on the area of gender-based violence prevention. As Director, Kate oversees a dynamic portfolio of male engagement and GBV prevention projects and initiatives.
